Hello! My name is Laurel Stueber and I am a kindergarten teacher
here at Battle Creek Environmental Magnet School. I have been
teaching in Saint Paul since 1993. I have a Bachelor's Degree in
Elementary Education from the College of Saint Catherine as well as a
Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of
Minnesota.
I view teaching as an opportunity to enrich the lives of
children. Every child has the ability to learn if placed in a
nurturing environment where learning experiences engage students, meet
their collective and individual learning needs and assist them in
reaching or exceeding their goals.
Philosophy of Teaching: Kindergarten Team

concrete materials and manipulatives.
* We want our young learners to respect all: themselves, others and our world.
* We want students to make good choices and become independent learners.
* We promote opportunities for involvement by families in the learning process
through weekly homework, daily book baggies and family night programs.
* Battle Creek Elementary Magnet School is a great place for kindergarten learners!
I want all children to be successful, enjoy the process of learning and
develop the skills needed to become lifelong learners. I know
this year will be filled with discovery, growth, excitement and joy as
each child masters those first steps in formal schooling!
