The Parent Group Budget:
The Parent Group holds several fundraisers to provide funds for the PG budget. The main fundraiser for Fall has been Kathryn Beich - Fifty percent of the sales from Katyryn Beich products go to the Battle Creek PG budget for use on school improvements and student enrichment!
- 100% of PG fundraising efforts benefit the students staff at BCE!
Additional fundraisers throughout the school year include: 1) monthly Monday Culver's restaurant nights (none in Dec), (a donation of 10% of the gross sales from 5-7 PM - yum!), 2) General Mills Box Top collection (10 cents per box top), 3) Kemp's Milk Caps (5 cents/cap; please rinse!).
Recycling has become a focus for the PG to help the environment and to raise funds for the students/school projects. 4) The PG collects used printer ink jet cartridges for recycling, (an average of $2.00 per cartridge), 5) Exchanges used copier cartridges for reams of copier paper, 6) Holds an aluminum beverage can collections. 7) Unused/outdated cellular phones are also collected/accepted for donation (Earth Night Only). 8) The PG also collects Campbell's soup labels that are redeemed for supplies and equipment for the school!
100% of PG fundraising efforts benefit the students staff at BCE!
If you would like to help with or attend ANY of the fundraising or other PG/school events, please contact a PG representative listed above! Thank you!
Every year the PG members (no membership fees, just show up if you have a student at BCE) discuss how to best allocate the funds raised.
