Welcome to the Gifted Services program at Battle Creek Environmental Magnet! My name is Ms. Lori Erickson and I am proud to be Battle Creek’s full time Gifted Services Specialist.
Beginning in the Fall of 2007, Battle Creek will be implementing a collaborative model for gifted services. In this model, I will be working along side of the classroom teachers on a routine basis. Through collaboration, the students will be challenged every day, all day long.
Depending on the needs of the students and the teachers, I may be team-teaching lessons, demonstrating instructional practices, co-planning thematic units, and/or providing differentiated resource materials to name just a few!
In addition to working with the classroom teachers, as the Gifted Services Specialist I coordinate Battle Creek’s Talent Show and Student Council. Please see the sidebar for more details.
